Education

SSO promotes quality education for vulnerable children by enhancing community support structures, improving school safety, and integrating psychosocial care. The organisation works closely with parents, teachers, and local leaders to foster inclusive learning environments that encourage school retention, academic performance, and life skills development among children and youth.
SSO facilitates community dialogue and sensitisation with parents on peaceful homes. It also offers training for the stakeholders and enhances referrals through which young people can be trained.

Gender Mainstreaming

SSO promotes gender equality by incorporating gender-sensitive approaches across all programs. This includes empowering women and girls through education, leadership training, and economic participation, while also engaging men and boys to challenge harmful norms, prevent gender-based violence, and foster inclusive, equitable community development.

Health

SSO provides community-based physiotherapy treatment for children with disability, health education talk, psycho-social services to persons with mental health challenges, and make strong referral pathways.

Environmental Conservation

SSO supports environmental sustainability by promoting climate-smart agricultural practices, afforestation, and the responsible management of natural resources. The organisation actively campaigns against environmentally harmful practices such as bush burning and swamp reclamation, working with communities to restore degraded ecosystems and secure long-term environmental and livelihood benefits.

Socio-Economic Empowerment

SSO empowers vulnerable women, youth, and households through targeted livelihood support programs. These include training in sustainable agriculture, the establishment of Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), and skills development to promote self-reliance, economic resilience, and improved household income.
